1997至今中国科学院植物研究所研究员,曾在香港科技大学生物系合作研究、美国普渡大学植物学与病理系和Dow Agrosciences LLC作高级访问学者;

2006年,获得国家“杰出青年基金”资助;

2010年,获得NSFC“植物细胞维持与分化”创新群体项目资助;

2017年,获得NSFC基础科学中心项目资助;

2017年,入选中国科学院院士。

2021年,入选国际欧亚科学院院士。

现任中国植物学会理事长,中国科学院植物研究所学术委员会主任,JIPB共同主编,《植物学报》荣誉主编,Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal Genetics Genomics等期刊编委。

在Cell, Annual Review of Plant Biology, Molecular Cell, Developmental Cell, Nature Communications,Nature Plants, EMBO Journal, Plant Cell, PNAS等学术期刊发表研究论文100余篇。
